Evergreen Fire/Rescue (EFR) serves our community as volunteer first responders. While many think of volunteer firefighters and have an idea of what that might be, we have a program for volunteers who only want to provide emergency medical services (EMS) as well. Responding to nearly 2,500 emergency calls a year, there is ample opportunity to give back to your community and make a difference. EFR provides the necessary training for fire and EMS skills through our in-house academy. If you have firefighting or EMS experience, our Lateral program may be available to you for an accelerated entry process.

If you are interested in volunteering but not in an emergency response capacity, consider joining the Turnouts. This group serves as a support function for Evergreen Fire/Rescue, and there are many ways you can volunteer your time without being a firefighter or medical services provider.
